  1. Nelli,

I was indecisive about writing a story comparing my new spiritual beliefs with my old. I simply wanted to tell how I felt about “new age” exposure, the teachings of Buddha and how Feng Shui, Reflexology, EFT and a bunch of other so-called “out of mainstream” activities have captured my attention, my calling.

In order to do that, I felt I would have to show how Christianity appeared so “closed,” so narrow-minded. It’s Jesus’ way or the highway. Jew, Muslim, Buddhist be gone.

I also wanted to say the love I extend to some Christians here may not be appreciated. I get no response from some rather in-depth, heart-felt discussions that go only one way — I get no return comments. And I don’t want to knock on doors to see how my offer of friendship has been treated within their homes. Not pushy that way.

Why am I opening to you? Guess the Native American sign someone left outside your door felt comforting enough for me to rest a while and regroup before paddling the canoe some more.

Thanks for the company of silence. Got both feet in the vessel. Let’s see where it takes me.

    Michael J
