"God bless you," etc.
This response is said to have been first used in Athens, where a sneeze by a person afflicted with the plague was regarded as an evidence that he had passed the crisis of his disease and that recovery was then possible.
Herein, please find some ancient and some modern wisdoms. They are not explained and nor are they simplified. Explore them. Consider the meaning. To all of you who have been affected by the Diseases associated with Addictions and the Daemons of Alcohol and Drugs – take some time – reflect – and bring into your own lives, the Experience, Strengths and Hopes of Others. To all of you who have been Battered or Traumatised, Dented and Bruised In Life, By Life or Through Life, walk back with me into Other Times and Other Ways. Mayhap there is Another Way to look at Things.

The images are drawn primarily from my life on the Northern Rivers of NSW, AUSTRALIA with some family input from Other Places and Graphics chosen randomly.
The Wisdoms are collected from all manner of places and include a range of Australian Poetry. Take your Time. Reflect on the Images and the Words. They might be saying more to you than you first realise.

What a wonderful blog! Will return 🙂
Just popping by to say hello as I haven’t seen your blog for a while. I hope all is well with you 🙂
Yes All is well. Just been on holidays to visit my son and grand daughter 1000km away. 🙂
Wait a minute.
Jupiter was a Roman god. The Greeks worshipped Zeus, father of Olympus.
Still, your post said that you would offer no explanations for the stories. I beleive the Romans stole this from the Greeks and blamed them for spreading the disease.
I got PTSD. Not contageous though. Will have to treat it every day of the rest of my life like many of those suffering from their own afflictions possibly mentioned on this site.
Like the lay of the land here. Will return.
Thanks,
Michael J
I didn’t check the cross cultural reference. Probably shouldn’t work so late at night. Hmm. Thanks for your comments Michael. Think I shall expand it to recovery from whatever it is that has happened to us. Yrs , Lynne.
Thanks Kelli. Just getting started.
Really nice posts. I will be checking back here regularly.
