Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. :

My Sitting Down Place
My Sitting Down Place by Gail Kay, Proserpine, QLD
I go down to the creek
Where the water gurgles
Joyfully
As it hurries along
Over the shining sand and pebbles
To its destiny
With the sea.
Dappled sunlight
Flits and moves
Across the water, over the creek bank,
And the birds sing happily
To the accompaniment
Of insects and crickets.
I sit in silence as I soak it all into my soul.
Peace flows
From the water
To my heart.
Whatever life brings me I now can face
Because of this,
My sitting down place!

Serenity Prayer God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
May you find serenity and tranquility in a world you may not always understand. May the pain you have known and the conflict you have experienced give you the strength to walk through life facing each new situation with courage and optimism. Always know that there are those whose love and understanding will always be there, even when you feel most alone. May you discover enough goodness in others to believe in a world of peace. May a kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them. Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
As an instinct told her which way to turn, her wisdom told her that it will be a long path to manifest.”

“We are
the scylla sisters.
We love
each other
so much
though sometimes it hurts
and sometimes it is joy
and always
together.
We love each other.
Because no one else will.”
― Kate Griffin, The Glass God
Remain calm, serene, always in command of yourself. You will then find out how easy it is to get along.”
― Paramahansa Yogananda
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Your kids require you most of all to love them for who they are, not to spend your whole time trying to correct them.”
One man with courage makes a majority.”
But for life’s little defeats and indignities, I would be happy, content and completely average.”
― Mark Rude
“If you are in a pit of stress or despair, don’t succumb to defeat. Don’t accept that difficult place as your fate. Even though God has allowed you to be there right now, he never intended for you to live there. Our God is bigger then whatever problem you are facing. The only way to see past the problem is to believe that he has not forgotten or abandoned you and that, at the exact time that he has ordained, he will reach down and pick you up.”
― Tracie Miles, Stressed-Less Living: Finding God’s Peace in Your Chaotic World
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to always tell the difference.”
The secret of making dreams come true can be summarized in four C’s. They are Curiosity, Confidence, Courage, and Constancy; and the greatest of these is Confidence.

“Life is what you make it. If you think you can’t change the world, then go on and follow the path already carved out for you. But there are other roads to choose, they’re just harder to trudge through. Changing the world isn’t easy, but I sure as hell am going to keep trying. Are you?”
― Simone Elkeles, Perfect Chemistry
I tell her all the time,’whiskey is risky and it makes girls frisky.”
― Laura Anderson Kurk, Glass Girl
“As adults we try to relax from the never-ending quest for reason and order by drinking a little whiskey or smoking whatever works for us, but the wisdom isn’t in the whiskey or the smoke. The wisdom is in the moments when the madness slips away and we remember the basics.”
― Willie Nelson, The Tao of Willie: A Guide to the Happiness in Your Heart
Wisdom’s Pearl doth often dwell Closed in Fancy’s rainbow shell” John Sterling
We make messes of our lives, but every now and then, we manage to do something that’s exactly right. The challenge is figuring out which is which.
― Jodi Picoult, Vanishing Acts
“The adventure of life is to learn. The purpose of life is to grow. The nature of life is to change. The challenge of life is to overcome. The essence of life is to care. The opportunity of like is to serve. The secret of life is to dare. The spice of life is to befriend. The beauty of life is to give.”
― William Arthur Ward
